All About Nashik
A Passionate Traveler
"Nashik" came out from the word "Nashika" which means nose (naak). This was given by 'Peshwas' when they got control over the city in 1818. In 1860 when the British were ruling Nashik became a separate district.
Before the Ramayana period, Nashik was known as Panchvati. It is very mythological, social, and cultural importance for Hindus as Lord Ram lived in Panchvati (Nashik)
Nashik is dotted with historical temples and hosts the Kumbh, and at the same time is home to nearly all of the Indian vineyards Nashikker likes to call "Vine City, Vine Capital of India". Upload to that the numerous waterfalls, forts, hills, and also you realise why Nashik is any such vacationer hotspot.
That's why we love Nashik
